A one-of-a-kind Ultraman sculpture that fuses TRANSWOOD—a material with a 100-year life cycle—with
the traditional Japanese art of “kintsugi,”
The desire to protect the Earth takes shape as “
,” illuminating the future.
TRANSWOOD—a material designed to be recycled for 100 years—was born from the natural environment of Nagano, nurtured over a long period of time.
Interacting with the light that reaches us from the sky,
and through Japan’s cutting-edge technology,
as TRANSWOOD is layered one by one,
its form quietly yet powerfully takes shape.
It transcends mere craftsmanship,
serving as a message of resource regeneration for the future.
And to Ultraman, who is
clad head to toe in the deep hues derived from TRANSWOOD,
the ancient Japanese traditional technique of “kintsugi” is applied.
“Kintsugi” is not merely decoration.
It reconnects what has been broken,
imbuing it with new value
and stands as a symbol of Japan’s rich craft culture.
The golden trails painted across the entire body
represent feelings passed down across generations and
become a light of hope that firmly binds our bonds together.
Japan, in need of a new breath of life,
and the Earth, standing at a crossroads toward a sustainable future.
Here lies our resolve for “Restart”
to sincerely confront the challenges we face today
and move forward into the next era.
A texture that is both nostalgic and new. Quiet strength. A dignified presence.
The cycle of nature, the elevation of culture, and the passing down of bonds.
As traditional and innovative techniques intertwine,
our commitment to protecting the Earth takes shape and illuminates the future.

Environmentally Friendly Materials Brand What Is “TRANSWOOD®”?
All-bio materials with a 100-year life cycle
TRANSWOOD® is an eco-friendly material brand conceived and developed by Hideyuki Kasuga, Ph.D. in Engineering and founder of hide k 1896, based on the concept of a “material that can be recycled for 100 years.”
It is an all-bio, eco-friendly composite material created by combining “wood-derived materials” with “biomass resins” made from waste cooking oil and other sources. In addition to being lightweight and strong, it is highly recyclable, and we are working to build the TRANSWOOD® platform, which enables continuous circulation of the material into applications such as tableware, furniture, home appliances, automotive interiors, and structural materials.
Furthermore, the unique textures created by various molding methods and the material’s distinctive aesthetic appeal are major features of TRANSWOOD®. By simultaneously reducing CO₂ emissions and plastic usage, it contributes to the societal implementation of the circular economy.
