[Event Report] Alain Ducasse Visits Japan | CCJ Gala Dinner Highlighted by the Retour Collection

On Thursday, July 3, 2025, the third annual gala dinner, hosted by the Collège Culinaire du Japon, was held at The Ritz-Carlton, Tokyo.

hide k 1896 sponsored the “les trois collection | Retowa Collection” tableware for this event as a member of the Collège Culinaire du Japon, and the collection was featured in the menu served at the gala dinner.

During the pre-dinner cocktail hour, a special “tea room” that embodied the world of the Retwa Collection was set up outside the venue, attracting the attention of many guests.

Culinary College of Japan

The Collège Culinaire du Japon was founded by world-renowned chef Alain Ducasse and is an organization dedicated to preserving and advancing Japanese culinary culture. It brings together experts from diverse fields—including producers, chefs, tableware artisans, fishermen, and farmers—who support the world of gastronomy, and works to shape the future of food.

We share this philosophy and continue to participate in their activities as a partner.

Mr. Alain Ducasse also flew in from France for this gala dinner, and the venue was buzzing with excitement.

The Harmony of Food and Tableware

On the day of the event, Sandro Gamba, Executive Chef of The Ritz-Carlton, Tokyo, served a menu to over 150 guests, featuring seasonal Japanese ingredients prepared with French techniques and beautifully presented on Retwa Collection tableware.
